Putin meets with President Trump's envoys

 Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Moscow with White House envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who are seeking to revive peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.




The meeting took place at the Grand Kremlin Palace and lasted approximately three hours.


While few details regarding any potential agreements have emerged, Putin acknowledged the complexity of the situation—though not before briefly welcoming Trump's envoys with the words: "Welcome, nice to meet you."


President Trump's envoys presented a peace proposal championed by the U.S. president, aimed at bringing the war to an end.


Prior to this meeting, both Putin and Zelenskyy had ordered their troops to observe a three-day ceasefire.


Witkoff and Kushner are scheduled to travel to Ukraine to meet with President Zelenskyy and continue the talks.


It is likely that President Trump himself will announce whether or not an agreement has been reached in the coming days.
